Job summary

Maxima Therapy is seeking a creative and committed Physical Therapist to join our transdisciplinary team for in-home services to children birth to 3 years old in the Los Angeles area. We offer competitive pay up to $100 per hour, mileage reimbursement, and a benefits package including medical insurance, PTO, and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include 1:1 in homes or daycare centers, parent education, care collaboration with clinicians, and documenting treatment plans and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Pediatric treatment experience preferred
• Reliable car with proof of auto insurance and valid driver’s license (for in-person)
• Immunization records, CPR certification, and TB test results (for in-person)
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
• Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus

Job description

Maxima Therapy is looking for a creative, and committed Physical Therapist to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and child development specialists. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages birth to 3 years of age with varying delays in clients homes. We offer competitive rates of up to $100 per hour*, mileage and toys reimbursement. Duties:

• 1:1 treatment in clients homes or daycare centers
• Provide parent education, training, and support
• Collaborate with other clinicians as needed/requested to ensure quality of care
• Develop treatment plans, take session notes, submit progress reports in a timely manner
• Supervisory opportunities to mentor PTAs
• Opportunities to conduct assessment and evaluations to establish the need for services
• Maintain CEU and licensure requirements
• Previous Pediatric treatment experience preferred
• Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid drivers license (for in-person)
• Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test (for in-person)
• Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented

Physical Requirements (for in-person services):

• Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
• Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
• Sudden and quick movements may be required
• Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
• reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
• Pay Rate: The professional rate for this position is up to $100/hr for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the consumer; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate. The actual wage rate offered will vary based on several key factors including, but not limited to, the candidates skill set, proficiency in relevant languages, years of professional experience, and the geographical location of the candidate.
