Summary

We are hiring for a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatments, provides exercise instruction, and educates patients to improve their well-being, following the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Follow all state laws related to physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the plan of care to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician; coordinate care with healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members within the scope of practice.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
