Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. The PTA will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals in the home setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the supervising physical therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
2. Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to patients to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
3. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities of daily living.
4. Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with the supervising physical therapist and other members of the healthcare team.
5. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice governing physical therapy services.
7. Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
2. Current and valid license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Virginia.
