Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). Responsibilities include documenting treatments, patient progress, and other relevant information as required.

PTA Duties and Responsibilities

1. Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to alleviate pain, restore function, and promote healing.
2. Provide skilled interventions according to physician orders under PT supervision.
3. Respond to service requests by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
4. Implement and adjust treatment plans with PT oversight.
5. Measure and record patient motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
6. Monitor patient responses and modify treatments as appropriate, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
7. Offer education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
8. Ensure timely and thorough documentation, complying with all regulatory standards.
9. Attend meetings as required by the Director of Rehab.
