Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
$32–$42 per hour
Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Woburn, MA. This is a Full-Time opportunity for a PTA who is passionate about helping patients improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.
What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, transfers, ambulation, and other rehabilitation interventions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and strategies to support continued progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff.
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with facility, Medicare, and payer requirements.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.
- Promote patient safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and appropriately communicate patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
