Bridgeway Health and Rehab is hiring a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide services, conduct screenings, assist in evaluations, and help develop treatment plans to support patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in evaluation and goal setting with the Physical Therapist.
• Execute treatment plans including strength, mobility, gait, balance and ROM activities.
• Document compliant and medically necessary CMS-based records in EMR systems.

BridgewayHealth and Rehab is hiring compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for our Therapy Team.

As a PTA, you will work alongside our growing department of therapists empowering patients to participate in their activities of daily living. In addition, you will help develop strategies and treatment plans to support patient growth and ability to overcome challenges.

Status: Full-Time or Per Diem/PRN

Job Functions:

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.

• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals todeterminethe needfor intervention/treatment.

• Identifyindications for evaluations atappropriate intervalsandassistin the evaluation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.

• Assist the Physical Therapist inidentifyinga target list, including short-term goals, long-termgoalsand treatment plan.

• Conduct both individual and group treatment as assigned by the Physical Therapist and outlined in treatment plan that includes, but is not limited to, areas of muscle strength, coordination, mobility, sensory awareness, sitting and standing, transfer training, balance activities, gait training, range of motion activities and modalities.

• Assistin theselectionof physical therapy techniques/media and in the sequence of activities, adapts techniques/media asindicatedby the resident's performance and following consultation with the Physical Therapist

• Monitor residents' response to intervention andconsultwith the Physical Therapist if modification isindicated.

• Assist in establishing and modifying individual resident schedules in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and other team members.

• Adhere to department and resident schedule andmodifiesasappropriate fortreatment regimen.

• Trainresidents, family andappropriate staffin the use or application of such equipment.

• Actively participate in resident, family, and staff education.

• Consistentlydemonstratesound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.

• Assistwith andparticipatesin Quality Assurance Program asrequired.

• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations inEMR systems

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in physical therapyfrom an accredited program.

• Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.

• Must have an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.

• Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development tomaintaincurrent licensure and certification
