Job summary

Neville Center at Fresh Pond is seeking a Registered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position. The role provides skilled physical therapy services under a supervising PT and participates in program development to meet patient care goals.

Qualifications include a degree from an accredited PTA program, MA license, and ideally 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting. We offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus, weekend differential, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of experience as a PTA.
• Preferred experience in skilled nursing facility or rehab hospital.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Registered Physical Therapist to implement the plan of care.
• Provides PT services consistent with the plan of care and goals.
• Documents observations, patient responses, and progress.
• Communicates patient care with other health care team members.
• Provides patient, family and caregiver education related to the PT program, safety and functional status.
• Assist patient and family to obtain needed equipment for optimal functioning.

Physical Therapist Assistant (pta) Summary
Provides skilled physical therapy services consistent with professional standards and policies. Participates in the development of programs necessary to achieve patient care objectives.
Education and Experience of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

• Minimum of a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program for PTA.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of experience in a therapist capacity.

Some of the Job Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) include:

• Works under the direction of the Registered Physical Therapist to:
• Provides physical therapy services following the therapy plan of care established by the Registered Physical Therapist consisting of the plan of care to include goals and discharge plans.
• Documents observations, patient 's response to treatment, treatment programs provided, and notable changes in patient's condition.
• Communicates and coordinates patient's care with other members of the patient' s health care team and the patient.
• Provides patient, family and caregiver teaching related to the patient's physical therapy program, safety, and functional status.
• Assist the patient and/or family to procure needed equipment or supplies for optimal functioning and safety both in and out of the home environment.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistant Students in accordance with regulations and policy as qualified.
