Excelsior Care Group's Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Briarcliff Manor, NY is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support residents on their mobility journey.

The PTA will assist therapists, follow policies, maintain a clean therapy area, adhere to safety and PPE protocols, and report equipment or SDS issues; NY PTA license and at least 1 year in a skilled nursing or rehab setting are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New York State PTA license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering effective and safe therapy sessions tailored to residents.
• Follow departmental policies and dress code to maintain a respectful environment.
• Keep the therapy area clean, organized and well-equipped.
• Adhere to safety and infection control procedures to protect residents and staff.
• Report hazardous conditions, faulty equipment, or unclear labels promptly.
• Use PPE when handling bodily fluids and follow SDS procedures.

Shift: Part-Time | 9am-5pm
Salary: $35–$40 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering effective and safe therapy sessions tailored to individual resident needs.

• Follow departmental policies, including professional dress code standards, to maintain a respectful and therapeutic environment.

• Ensure a clean, organized, and well-equipped therapy area.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control procedures to protect residents and staff.

• Report any hazardous conditions, faulty equipment, or missing/unclear labels promptly.

• Utilize PPE when handling bodily fluids and uphold all facility safety standards.

• Immediately alert the supervisor of any safety data sheet (SDS) discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted New York State PTA license.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting.
