Job summary

Care Connection Rehabilitation Center in Rahway, NJ seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will assist therapists with individualized treatment plans, promote resident mobility, and contribute to a compassionate care environment.

The position requires an active New Jersey PTA license and strong teamwork skills to coordinate care with therapists, nursing staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with safe and effective treatment programs based on individual resident needs.
• Provide quality therapy services while maintaining resident safety, dignity, and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly equipped therapy area.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.
• Properly use PPE when required and report safety hazards or equipment concerns promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
