UHS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver PT services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The role includes patient screening, education for patients and families, and applying therapeutic exercises and modalities to aid rehabilitation.
Some travel between facilities is expected as part of coverage within the system. The candidate must hold Texas PTA licensure (or temporary license) and have BCLS certification; clinical experience is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Staff Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in accordance with the patients’ plan of care. The physical therapy assistant will screen patients, educate patient and family, utilize exercises and physical therapy modalities in the treatment and rehabilitative of persons who have medical problems, health related conditions, or a developmental disability that limits their ability to move or perform functional activities. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions.
