Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Acute Care Rehab Department in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position at our Baptist South location.

The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, providing services to adult patients with orthopedic and general medical diagnoses in an acute care setting. Requirements include an Associate degree, FL licensure, and BLS certification.

• Experience in treating patients in an acute care setting.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

• Participates in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our Acute Care Rehab Department in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position at our Baptist South location.

We are looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our adult acute care rehab services team. Caseload includes various diagnoses - orthopedic and general medical. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in treating patients in an acute care setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.

Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.

Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.

Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.

Education & Credential Requirements:

Associate degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Assistant Required

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from FL Department of Health Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
