Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Acute Care Rehab Department in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position at our Baptist South location.

The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, providing services to adult patients with orthopedic and general medical diagnoses in an acute care setting. Requirements include an Associate degree, FL licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in treating patients in an acute care setting.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients.
• Participates in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains budget guidelines adherence.
• Meets mandatory education and licensure requirements.
