Job summary

Memorial Health Meadows Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to help improve patient mobility and independence. You will work under supervising PTs to deliver individualized care and utilize established processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaborative care, flexible scheduling, and access to educational resources for your ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• LPTA license required or eligible.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to restore mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Educate patients and families on using assistive devices and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Associate Degree
