Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Springfield, MO. Under supervision of the Manager of Therapy Services, you will assist the Physical Therapist with exercises, patient evaluations, and treatment progression to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PTA program graduate, an associate degree, and an active PTA license; BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Associate's degree required.
• Current PTA license in the applicable state; LPTA.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
• Assist with patient evaluations, functional testing, and treatment progression.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Help create a positive, patient-centered experience focused on achieving goals and improving quality of life.
