Job summary

Mercy in Springfield, MO invites a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN schedule. You will work under the supervision of the Manager of Therapy Services and assist the Physical Therapists with rehabilitative activities to reduce pain and improve mobility.

You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, assist with evaluations and progression, and help create a positive, patient-centered experience.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Associate's degree required.
• Current PTA license in the applicable state and BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.

What You'll Do

• Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Associate's degree required

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the applicable state
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire

Experience

• Less than one year of experience required
• New graduates encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of Physical Therapy experience
• Proven success delivering quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting
