Job summary

Amberwell Health Atchison Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Rehabilitation Services team on a PRN, day shift basis. You will perform treatments and guide patients through prescribed exercises for inpatients, outpatients, and Home Health/Hospice.

Required: a 2-year degree (Associate), Kansas PTA license, and BLS certification. Graduation from an accredited PTA program is expected. No prior experience required; CEUs are necessary to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 2 year/Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS certification is required.
• Licensed/Certified PTA status.
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Kansas PTA license required.
• Maintain licensure with CEUs every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments for physical therapy patients.
• Provide exercise instruction and demonstrations.
• Serve inpatients, outpatients and Home Health/Hospice patients.
