Job summary

Covenant Hobbs Hospital in Hobbs, NM is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will provide treatment programs, monitor patient progress, and communicate progress to the supervising PT.

Qualified candidates must graduate from an accredited PTA program, hold NM PTA licensure upon hire, and obtain BLS from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant License - NM Physical Therapy Board upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Assistant assists in the provision of physical therapy service provided the service is rendered under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering treatment programs designed by and under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, monitoring patients' progress and response to treatment, reporting deviations from the plan and goals to the Physical Therapist.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant License - New Mexico Physical Therapy Board upon hire,
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Neonatal Therapist (CCH acute only): Degree from an accredited program.
• 1 year Experience in rehabilitation.
