Physical Therapy Assistant - Pelvic Health

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This full-time position involves visits in homes, ALFs, and ILFs, with a salary-based compensation and potential monthly bonus. The working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Service Areas: Rock Hill, Fort Mill, York

Job Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting in implementing treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists
  • Conducting exercises and therapeutic activities with patients
  • Educating patients on proper rehabilitation techniques
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress
  • Developing individualized treatment plans
  • Ensuring a clean and organized therapy environment
  • Communicating with healthcare professionals to coordinate care
  • Assisting with discharge planning and providing continued care instructions
Qualifications
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in the state of practice
  • CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Compassion and empathy for patients
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for mobility assistance and therapeutic activities
  • Pelvic health experience and/or interest
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a PTA
  • Specialized training or certification in areas such as orthopedics, pelvic health, neurology, or geriatrics
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • Bilingual in English and another language common in the practice area
