Job summary

Mercy Health – St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant.

The PTA provides therapeutic interventions under the Physical Therapist, documents patient progress, and supports the continuum of care across inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, and off-site locations. Responsibilities include accurate recordkeeping, maintaining productivity, and mentoring students while following safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred or within 30 days for certain facilities)

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment and patient progress.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality.
• Precepts students in clinical education and evaluation.
• Adheres to departmental safety, infection control, and attendance policies.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the Physical Therapist.
