Job summary

Empath Health is seeking a compassionate full-time Home Health PTA to serve patients in Mid Sarasota (South Sarasota, Siesta Key, Gulf Gate, Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice). The role supports the plan of care under a Physical Therapist’s supervision and helps patients regain independence at home.

Candidate must have a PTA program completion, Florida PTA license, and at least 1 year of PTA experience; home health experience preferred. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

• Licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of one year experience as a licensed PTA.

Empath Home Health, a member of Empath Health is seeking a compassionate full-time Home Health PTA Physical Therapy Assistant to work with us to provide exceptional and individualized care in Mid Sarasota (South Sarasota, Siesta Key, Gulf Gate, Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice).

Empath Home Health provides skilled nursing and therapy services to help patients recover and maintain independence at home, along with personal care support that assists with daily needs as part of a seamless continuum of care.

Location & Schedule

Locations: Home health visits in Mid Sarasota (South Sarasota, Siesta Key, Gulf Gate, Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice).

Schedule: M-F 40 hours

What You’ll Do

• Provides physical therapy services to patients in compliance with agency policies and procedures, federal and state regulations, following the plan of care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Assists Physical Therapist in evaluating equipment needs of patient to increase functional level.
• Participates in the education of patient and family on methods of self-care and techniques to improve or maintain patient’s level of functioning.

What You’ll Need

• Proof of completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Home Health care experience preferred.
