Job summary

Welltech Partners is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) for a home health role serving South King County, WA, including Auburn and Kent. You will work under a supervising PT, delivering in-home therapy and helping adults and the elderly regain mobility and independence.

This is a full-time, flexible field-based position with a caseload of ~20–21 visits weekly with a PT, and up to 30 visits independently depending on staffing.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required).
  • Current Washington State PTA license in good standing (required).
  • Home health or field-based clinical experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Registered PT.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and mobility training in the home setting.
  • Monitor patient responses and report progress to the supervising PT.
  • Prepare accurate progress notes in a timely manner and educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
  • Travel to patient homes throughout the service area.

We are partnering with a well-established home health agency serving the King County, Washington area to find a skilled and dedicated Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join their home health team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a clinician who values autonomy, meaningful patient interactions, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in patients' lives in the comfort of their own homes.

Position Details
  • Setting: Home Health
  • Coverage Area: South King County, WA, including Kent, Auburn
  • Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric Home Health
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible field-based schedule
  • Supervision: Directed and supervised by a Registered Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Caseload: Approximately 20–21 visits per week when working alongside a PT; up to 30 visits per week independently, based on staffing model
  • Compensation: $36.50 - $47.75 per hour (DOE)
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Provided
  • Start Date: ASAP
About the Role

As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, you will administer physical therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence, in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care, under the direct supervision of the Registered Physical Therapist. You will be an integral part of a collaborative home health team, working to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and achieve greater independence at home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Registered Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician-approved plan of care
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and other skilled PT interventions in the home setting
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress and changes to the supervising PT
  • Prepare and submit accurate clinical and progress notes in a timely mannerInstruct patients and family members/caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional activities
  • Collaborate with the broader home care team in patient care planning and care conferences
  • Maintain compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Participate in in-service programs and Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement activities as assigned
  • Travel to and from patient homes throughout the service area
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program — required
  • Current Washington State PTA license in good standing — required
  • Home health or field-based clinical experience — a strong plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation — required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, heavy lifting, and extensive bending
