Job summary

Beacon Health System in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide hands-on therapy to help patients regain mobility, improve function, and reduce pain.

The successful candidate will hold an Associate Degree, an active Michigan PTA license, and BLS. You will collaborate with therapists and nurses to support personalized care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Michigan PTA license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, and overall functional independence.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and treatment techniques appropriate to each patient's needs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments and patient outcomes.
• Support the clinical education of students and assist with departmental activities as needed.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
