Job summary

Northwoods Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support residents under the direct supervision of the licensed physical therapist. An associate degree in Physical Therapy and current state licensure or licensure eligibility are required.

You will assist in evaluating progress, help develop short- and long-term goals, implement treatment plans including gait, mobility, strength, and balance activities, and select appropriate modalities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the physical therapist.
• Assists in evaluations at appropriate intervals and helps develop target goals and treatment plans.
• Contributes to establishing and modifying individual patient schedules and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Performs treatment activities including strength, mobility, gait, balance, ROM and modalities as outlined by the therapist.
• Participates in education for patient, family and staff and maintains proper documentation and infection control standards.
