A healthcare facility in Phoenix is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient rehabilitation efforts. The role involves treating patients per the Physical Therapist's directives, maintaining treatment records, and assisting with staff training. Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board regulations. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes as per policies and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Report any equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

This position is non-supervisory.

Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting; frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling; frequent talking and hearing; frequent tasting and smelling. Ability to exert significant force to move objects. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work Environment
