Job summary

Total Care Therapy in Plain City, OH, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to work with licensed Therapists, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to residents in assisted living and independent living communities.

You will assist with therapies, help residents improve mobility, maintain independence, and participate in ongoing professional growth within a therapist-owned company that values clinicians and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Current State PTA license
• CPR/BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions to help residents achieve their functional goals.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately complete documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safety strategies
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain a full-caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality therapy services
