Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Brenham, TX. The role involves working under a licensed Physical Therapist, managing a patient caseload and providing care within agency guidelines.

The PTA collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, educates patients and families, completes documentation, and travels to multiple locations within the coverage area. This full-time position requires CPR certification and a valid state license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license/permit to practice in state of operation.
• CPR certification current during employment.
• Must be a licensed driver able to travel to all business locations.
• Ability to implement care plans and communicate findings to PT/physician.
• Ability to educate patients and families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and document treatment per physician orders and policy.
• Document interventions, approaches, materials and treatment priorities.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.
• Present patient status to supervising therapist and team.
• Provide skilled treatment according to patient needs and payer parameters.
• Collaborate with team on treatment planning and interventions.
• Accurately complete daily notes and required forms to avoid care interruptions.
• Meet productivity standards and use work hours efficiently.
• Attend agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Negotiate patient participation in treatment plans.
