Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is opening February 2025 at Woodstork and Temple Terrace. The Physical Therapy Assistant will treat patients 18 and older, assisting in assessments and implementing therapy under the Physician and Physical Therapist guidance.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Treat referred patients aged 18 and older in rehabilitation.
• Assist in patient assessment of medical condition, functional capabilities and rehabilitation potential.
• Administer a treatment program under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace is opening February 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients’ capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist. Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist Assistant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable
