We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join ouroutpatientrehabilitation team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services designed to help patients improve mobility, function, independence, and overall quality of life.
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct patient care intheoutpatient settings under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA efficiently delivers comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse patient population while supporting individualized treatment plans and organizational standards of care.
The PTA is responsible for accurately documenting patient treatment and progress, communicating changes in patient status, assisting with scheduling as needed, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds, team conferences, committee meetings, and other collaborative activities as assigned.
Must possess a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Current and unrestricted license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners required.
CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience.
Previous rehabilitation, acute care, sub-acute, or outpatient experience is preferred, but qualifications may be considered based on education, clinical training, and demonstrated competency.
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting device.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care.
