Formación

• Requires Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and PTA license.
• BLS certification or equivalent is required as part of safety training.
• High school diploma is acceptable for foundational requirements.

Role: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to plan and implement programs aimed at restoring or improving patients' mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Responsibilities: Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, revise goals collaboratively, provide patient and family education, document sessions, and offer discharge instructions and referrals.
• Core Duties: Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to ethical practices, ensure confidentiality, communicate effectively, organize workload, and utilize equipment safely.
• Customer Service & Teamwork: Promote a positive environment, demonstrate respect, encourage teamwork, apply service recovery principles, and prioritize patient satisfaction.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education, complete required competencies, mentor new staff, and comply with mandatory training and policies.

Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma, Associate's degree in Physical Therapy, PTA license, and Basic Life Support certification. Skills include effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency.
