Job summary

The Springs of Greers Ferry in Heber Springs, AR is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will administer prescribed therapies, work under a PT, and coordinate with staff to ensure quality, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold an Arkansas PTA license and have experience in SNF/long-term care with knowledge of treatment practices. Net Health EDS experience is a plus, and flexible schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in SNF/long-term care settings is preferred.
• Working knowledge of current treatment practices in physical therapy.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is a plus.
• Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to PT to meet service requests.
• Modify treatment plans under PT supervision to fit patient needs.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches in collaboration with the IDT.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy processes.
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation per company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
