Job summary

Ramseur Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Ramseur, NC is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Long Term Care team. You will work under a PT, deliver comprehensive therapy, monitor patient progress, and assist with documentation and scheduling.

We seek graduates with a PTA/BA or Associate degree, current NC license, and a collaborative, patient-focused attitude. This role offers a flexible schedule and competitive wages with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate with BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under PT supervision.
• Assist PT in identifying suitable patients for rehab.
• Document daily participation and progress with timely co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation as per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients for PT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absence.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff, facility staff and community.
• Comply with facility safety policies and patient confidentiality.
• Report to work on time and maintain professional image.
• Adhere to productivity requirements.
• Foster positive relations with customers and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors/manager.
• Follow policies re: lunch, overtime, sick and time off.

Education

BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy

State license/registration to practice in NC
