Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy Assistants.
• 1-2 years experience in outpatient setting preferred.
• Georgia PTA license required.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients.
• Directs and assists patients in exercise, muscles re-education, and gait training.
• Instructs patients in proper care and use of supports and exercise programs.
• Prepares written documentation as directed by the therapist.
• Evaluates, charts, and reports on patients' progress.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering calls and scheduling patients.
• Maintains department policies, procedures, quality assurance, safety and infection control.
• Educates patients in proper care and use of supports and exercise programs.
• Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
