Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapy services for patients of all ages. The role involves implementing evidence-based interventions under a Physical Therapist's supervision and contributing to patient recovery and independence.

You will document care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining safety and infection control standards in a clinical setting in Roswell, NM.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting required

Responsibilities

• Assists the Physical Therapist in evaluating treatment outcomes and adjusts plans as needed
• Implements interventions focusing on posture, balance, locomotion, strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and pain management
• Administers treatments under supervision in alignment with current PT practices
• Monitors patient progress and reports responses and effectiveness to the supervising PT
• Educates patients on exercises and self-management strategies to promote recovery
• Ensures age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, personalized care and accurate documentation of plans and progress
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and participates in discharge planning and referrals
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and adheres to infection control protocols
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance
