Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current, full, active license or valid APTA credential.
• At least 1 year of PT Assistant experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Carries out treatment programs under the direction of the supervising physical therapist.
• Administers supervised therapies such as exercise, gait training, massage, and modalities.
• Instructs patients on wheelchairs, crutches, braces, prosthetic devices.
• Observes and documents patient responses and progress.
• Adjusts braces, crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs as needed.
• Coordinates with PT staff and other health team members to coordinate care.
• Maintains patient records and documents progress in chart and EHR.
