Luke & Associates, Inc. seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Womack Army Medical Center system in Fort Bragg, NC.
Responsibilities include assisting physical therapists with treatment plans, gait training, and patient education in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role requires CAPTE-accredited training, active licensure or credential, and a minimum of one year of relevant PT experience, plus BLS/CPR.
Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC, under the Physical Therapy Service Line and its outlying clinics including Womack Outpatient PT Clinic, Byars PT Clinic, Robinson PT Clinic, Clark PT Clinic, and Fayetteville Rehabilitation Clinic; inpatient ward at Womack Army Medical Center.
Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants shall work one of the following shifts, Monday through Friday: 0630-1530 or 0730-1630. Scheduled hours include a 30- to 60-minute unpaid lunch break. Contractors will not provide services in excess of 40 hours per week. Outpatient clinics are closed on federally recognized holidays, and the MTF also observes training holidays and base down days.
Associate degree; graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
One year of experience within the last two years as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart or American Red Cross
The MTF observes installation training holidays and base down days. The contractor shall not be required to work on these days and will not receive additional compensation.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position. All contractor personnel must demonstrate professional proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and government personnel. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods; lift and move patients or equipment as required by the clinical setting; and perform the physical demands inherent to the specialty.
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
