Job summary

Leisure Chateau Care & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement PT programs and treatments for residents under a licensed PT's supervision. The role focuses on increasing independence and functional outcomes in a supportive team environment.

The PTA will perform plan implementation, modalities and exercises, and assist the PT during evaluations. Occasional group sessions, documentation, and equipment upkeep are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Licensed as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan under the supervision of the PT.
• Provides PT treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups with the PT.
• Instructs residents, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Works with rehab team to develop resident-specific programs.
• Maintains timely documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends care and staffing meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Ensures high-quality service in a caring, compassionate atmosphere.
