Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in treatment and patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, equipment, and assisting with procedures while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the facility. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or PTA program graduate, 2+ years experience preferred, and an active CPR certificate.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a physical therapy facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.
• Current CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the facility.
• Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient, informing them of patient needs, treatment modifications and progress.
• Aid in the care and safety of patients.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments as requested by the PT.
• Assist the PT in selected procedures, checking patient and equipment for comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping duties; maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Attend facility meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
