Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in Texas.
• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Medicare familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA treatments per plan of care.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance and gait activities.
• Observe and document patient responses and progress.
• Communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Support inpatient rehabilitation and swing bed services with the care team.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, equipment use, and safety.
• Maintain treatment areas and ensure supplies are available.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe rehabilitation environment.
• Occasionally participate in community events promoting rehabilitation.
