Job summary

Candor invites a School-based Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Texas. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, increase independence, and access their educational environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program is required.
• Active licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy services and interventions outlined in student IEPs.
• Assist with activities to improve functional mobility and participation in the school setting.
• Document student progress and maintain service records.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, educators, and special education teams.
• Assist with adaptive equipment, positioning, and mobility recommendations.
• Participate in ARD meetings and team discussions as appropriate.
• Support a positive, student-centered educational environment.

• Supporting a positive, student-centered educational environment
