Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, IN seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant I to join the inpatient care team. You will work under the Department Director and supervising Physical Therapist to implement the plan of care and document patient progress, within established policies and standards.

Responsibilities include supervising Rehab Techs, applying therapy, educating patients and families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• 2 years Physical Therapy experience required.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program is required.
• CPR certification required.

The Physical Therapy Assistant I is responsible to the Department Director and supervising Physical Therapist, to provide treatment to the patient prescribed by the physician within the guidelines of the Physical Therapy Practice Act, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position implements the plan of care to restore and enhance performance. This position also performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.

  Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment.


• Treatment Plans & Education
  Trains and educates patients and family members or others and documents understanding of treatment plan and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
