Job summary

WorkFit Medical Staffing seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed physical therapists in a variety of clinical settings, including rehabilitation facilities and outpatient clinics. You will assist with treatments, monitor progress, educate patients and families, document progress, and maintain therapy equipment.

Ideal candidates hold a NY PTA license, an accredited associate degree, and have strong communication skills with a collaborative team mindset; CPR

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York State.
• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of physical therapy treatments as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
