Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant for Home Health in Florida. The role involves delivering PT services, coordinating with the care team, educating patients and families, and documenting progress.

Excellent communication and basic computer skills are required; PTA license, BLS, and driver’s license are mandatory. We offer locations all across Florida, up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN), and company-provided phone and laptop.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• PTA license, BLS certification, and driver's license are required.
• Good English reading/writing and basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with case manager, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Meet productivity standards and adjust hours to patient needs.
• Participate in department meetings, education sessions, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and coordinate with Physical Therapist for adjustments.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and insurance guidelines.
• Document interventions and progress clearly and timely according to standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Entry level competency of Physical therapy practice, theory, principle, and applications as defined in competency department policies. [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English. [Required]
