Responsibilities
  1. Assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality therapy services to patients in a private practice setting.
  2. Work directly with patients to implement prescribed treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical modalities.
  3. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, reporting significant changes to the supervising physical therapist.
  5. Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, well-maintained, and properly set up.
  6. Assist with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Provide guidance and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  9. Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment focused on optimal outcomes.
  10. Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications
  1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  2. Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  3. Valid CPR certification
  4. Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic or private practice setting (preferred)
  5. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
  7. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and treatment protocols
  8. Exceptional time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  9. Commitment to delivering personalized care and maintaining high ethical standards
  10. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills
  11. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also functioning independently
  12. Willingness to participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices
