Job summary

Bristol Glen is a UMC Community in Newton, NJ, seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for a per diem role with a guaranteed $40 per hour. Flexible weekday and weekend shifts are available as posted, with no minimum hour commitments.

You will support residents by implementing therapy programs under a PT, helping improve strength, balance, and mobility, and documenting progress according to facility standards.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey PTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Minimum 2 years of PTA experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized therapy programs under a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Lead residents through exercises to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
• Assist with activities of daily living and movement goals.
• Observe performance, report progress, and document outcomes.
• Provide encouragement and support to keep residents engaged.
• Complete accurate documentation per facility standards.

What You'll Do

• Carry out individualized therapy programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to support resident recovery and wellness
• Lead residents through therapeutic activities designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and overall function
• Assist residents in working toward greater independence with daily activities and movement goals
• Observe resident performance and communicate progress, concerns, and outcomes to the Physical Therapist
• Provide encouragement and support that helps residents stay engaged and motivated throughout their therapy journey
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory guidelines

What You'll Need

Required:

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
• 2+ years of experience as a PTA

Preferred:

• Experience in a skilled nursing, rehab, or continuing care community

Pay and Benefits

• $40.00 per hour, guaranteed rate
