Physical Therapy Assistant Per Diem

Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Location: Hamilton, NJ

Hours: Per Diem – Tuesday & Thursday or Monday & Wednesday, 8 am–1 pm. Must have flexibility for PTO, vacation coverage and occasional evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate information by performing selected data collection consistent with the plan of care established by the physical therapist.
• Discuss the need for modification to the plan of care and participate in patient status judgments within the clinical environment.
• Perform physical therapy interventions in a competent manner.
• Communicate in ways that are congruent with situational needs.
• Produce documentation to support the delivery of therapy services and assist in reconciling the cosigning of the notes as required by regulatory bodies.
• Participate in addressing patient needs for services other than physical therapy.
• Educate others using relevant and effective teaching methods.

Credentials

• Physical Therapy Assistant (required).
• Licensed by the New Jersey Board of Physical Therapy in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act of 1983.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• CPR certification by the American Heart Association.

Education or Equivalent Experience

• Graduated from a PTA program accredited by the APTA or its equivalent.
• And 2+ years of experience.

Salary Range
