Job Description:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and assist residents in their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out treatment plans and gather objective data during screenings.
• Treatment Support: Implement treatment plans including exercises, modalities, and mobility training.
• Monitoring: Observe residents' performance and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, interventions, and evaluations in EMRs such as InnovaHealth, Net Health, or PCC.
• Education: Educate residents, families, and staff on mobility techniques and exercises; conduct remote check-ins via RTM.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the interdisciplinary team under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

Qualifications:

• State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office applications
• CPR/BLS certification
• Knowledge of Section GG data collection and documentation
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to supervise assistants, technicians, and interns
• Modality Certification +
• Experience in LTPAC/LTC preferred
