POSITION STANDARDS
Graduate of a school or Physical Therapist Assistant Program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in New Hampshire. No previous experience necessary.
Must have knowledge of principles, literature, standard practices, modality use and techniques, methods, and new developments in Physical Medicine.
Age of Patients Treated: All ages.
Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Position Physical Requirements
Pre-employment physical required to determine capability.
Must have good physical stamina.
Physical Activity: Able to tolerate lifting, bending, walking, stooping, standing, and desk work.
Upper Extremity: Able to guard and transfer patients, assist with gait and exercises.

Functional Responsibilities
Position Objective: Treat patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following physician referral.
Performance Expectations:
Records, Reports, and Communication:
Assist in inventory management, attend relevant meetings, and participate in community outreach and program development.
Maintain department cleanliness and safety standards.
Attend patient-related meetings as delegated.
