OakBend Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services. You will provide various methods of therapy according to patient treatment plans and serve as a resource to physical therapists and aides.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an approved program and possess knowledge of patient care regulations. This role is crucial for serving patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist, to provide various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plan. To serve as a resource person for PT's, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care. Successful completion department specific and/or hospital required training courses. Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
