Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home patient visits under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, delivering care with compassion and dignity. Must hold PTA licensure and CPR/First Aid; travel is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a PTA license and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current unrestricted PTA licensure in the state of position.
• One year of PT home health or similar experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home patient visits under the supervision of a PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising provider.
• Educate patients and families to support rehabilitation and safety at home.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), You Will

• Provide in-home patient visits based on the patient's plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report to the supervising provider, the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
• Educate the patient and family on how they can best participate, assist, and contribute to the patient's rehabilitation.

To qualify for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with us, you will need:

• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state associated with this position.
• Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
• One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Physical Therapist (PT) in a home health or similar setting.
