Job summary

Benchmark Therapy and Rehab in Home Health is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home care team. You will assist Physical Therapists in evaluating and treating patients in their homes, helping them recover from injury, disease, or surgery.

Flexible schedules, one-on-one patient care, no weekend requirements, and mileage reimbursement are offered, with a focus on delivering focused rehabilitation through our program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in evaluating and treating patients in home care.
• Prepare patients and equipment and implement prescribed treatment plans.
• Instruct patients in exercises and stretching.
• Provide hands-on therapy and document patient responses.
• Maintain records and provide status reports after each treatment.

Position Summary:

Physical Therapist Assistant- Home Care

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Assists one or more Physical Therapists in evaluating and providing treatment to help patients recover from injury, disease, or surgery in a home care setting.
• Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans specified by the therapist.
• Instructs the patient and guides them in exercises and stretching.
• Provides hands-on therapy and treatments.
• Records patients' reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Requires a state physical therapist assistant license.
• Reports to physical therapist.
• Must have a valid Driver's License
